Sanwo-Olu presents N3tr budget estimates for 2025 to Assembly
Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has presented a proposed N3 trillion budget for the 2025 fiscal year to the Lagos State House of Assembly. Dubbed the "Budget of Sustainability," the proposal aims to promote resilience and shared prosperity for Lagos residents.
Sanwo-Olu outlined the budget's focus on sustainable development and economic growth, with key plans targeting infrastructure, economic diversification, social inclusion, human capital development, and governance reforms. The budget allocates 41% (N1.239 trillion) to recurrent expenditure and 59% (N1.766 trillion) to capital expenditure, emphasizing investments in critical sectors to boost Lagos' economy and improve residents' quality of life.
Aligned with the administration's vision for urban development and sustainable progress, the budget seeks to address challenges while creating opportunities for all. The Lagos State House of Assembly will review the proposal in the coming weeks.
