Kanye West sued for s3xual assault by model Jennifer An
Model Jennifer An has filed a federal lawsuit against Kanye West, accusing him of turning a 2010 music video shoot into a disturbing and traumatic experience involving violence and humiliation. An, who appeared on cycle 13 of America’s Next Top Model, alleges that during the shoot for the music video of La Roux's remix of In For the Kill which featured West he choked her until she lost consciousness and forced her to perform acts resembling pornography rather than art. According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the incident occurred at New York City’s Chelsea Hotel, where West allegedly chose her from a group of women, saying, "Give me the Asian girl."
The lawsuit claims An was dressed in revealing lingerie when West directed the camera to focus on her, commenting, "That’s why I chose you." She alleges he then strangled her with both hands, smothered her face, and forced fingers down her throat in what she describes as a simulation of forced oral sex. The ordeal, she claims, lasted over a minute, leaving her humiliated and physically distressed.
During the incident, West reportedly declared, “This is art. This is f**king art. I am like Picasso.” However, An asserts the experience was more akin to "pornographic gagging and BDSM fetishes" than a professional shoot. La Roux, whose track was remixed by West, is said to have described the behavior during the shoot as "upsetting" and "unsettling," although neither West nor An appears in the music video’s final cut.
The lawsuit, which names Kanye West and Universal Music Group as defendants, accuses them of gender-based violence and claims the incident was deliberately covered up by the label and others in the industry. An is seeking justice for what she describes as a deeply exploitative and traumatic experience.
