Music mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs has launched his third attempt to secure release from jail, with his defense team arguing that he is innocent and that all sexual encounters were consensual.

His legal team has submitted new documents, claiming Combs is "not a threat to the community" as he remains in custody on charges of racketeering and sex trafficking.

Combs has consistently denied any wrongdoing and pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Previously, a federal judge in New York denied his bail, citing claims that Combs attempted to contact witnesses. However, in today’s appeal, Diddy’s attorneys argued that he only contacted a witness with the approval of that witness’s lawyer. They also claimed that in several cases, it was the witnesses who reached out to Diddy, not the other way around.

The appeal references an unnamed victim, which appears to be Cassie, based on details about a leaked video that surfaced after she settled her case with Combs.

Diddy's legal team emphasized that he is not a flight risk, countering prosecutors' concerns. They also noted that he has agreed not to contact any more witnesses and to undergo weekly drug tests.

In the appeal, Combs' attorneys claimed the case had been "sensationalized." They pointed out his willingness to comply by surrendering his passport, selling his private jet, and offering his $48 million home as bail security.

The U.S. Attorney's Office will respond to the appeal, though it is unlikely to be heard in court this week.

Diddy, 54, is currently being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, following an indictment last month on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transporting individuals for prostitution.

Attorney Tony Buzbee, representing 120 individuals with sexual misconduct allegations against Combs, expects lawsuits to be filed within the next month, primarily in New York and Los Angeles.
