A 50-year-old man crushed to d£ath by Train in Lagos

A 50-year-old man, identified as Emmanuel, was tragically killed by a train in the Oshodi area of Lagos State. The incident occurred near Arena Shopping Mall on Saturday, October 12, 2024.

According to the victim’s sister, she received a call around 9 a.m. informing her that her older brother had been fatally hit by the moving train. The spokesperson for the State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident in a statement on Sunday.

Hundeyin mentioned that the Mosafejo Division was alerted to the incident around 1:33 p.m., prompting the immediate dispatch of detectives to the scene. Police officers visited and photographed the scene, and the body was taken to a public morgue for an autopsy.

Hundeyin also added that the case has been handed over to the Railway Police Command in Ebute Metta for further investigation.
