Piers Morgan apologizes to Beyoncé and Jay-Z after singer Jaguar Wright made 'totally false' claims about the couple on his show (video)
Piers Morgan has issued an apology to Jay-Z and Beyoncé after unverified allegations about the couple were aired on his show. During an episode of Piers Morgan Uncensored, singer Jaguar Wright made several outrageous claims about Jay-Z and Beyoncé, accusing them of "nasty" behavior, such as allegedly holding people against their will and drugging them, drawing a parallel to the late Aaliyah.
Wright also likened Jay-Z and Diddy to Jeffrey Epstein but provided no evidence for her accusations.
After the couple's legal team contacted Morgan, he apologized on his show, acknowledging that Wright's claims were "totally false." Morgan explained that while his platform often gives a voice to controversial figures, the comments made about Jay-Z and Beyoncé went beyond acceptable limits.
He emphasized that his team complied with the legal request to remove the remarks from the interview, despite it being a rare move for a program titled Uncensored. Morgan concluded by reiterating the apology to the couple and acknowledging the legal boundaries of his platform.
