Four workers burnt to d£ath as fire razes lounge and bar in Lagos

Four workers were burned beyond recognition in a fire that destroyed a lounge and bar on Baale Road in the Olodi Apapa area of Lagos State. The incident was confirmed by the spokesperson of the State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, who reported that at around 7:50 a.m. on Sunday, October 13, 2024, a distress call was received about a fire breaking out at the lounge around 7:45 a.m.

He stated that police officers and firefighters were quickly dispatched to the scene. The fire, which engulfed the entire building, was eventually extinguished.

"Investigations revealed that four unidentified staff members of the company were burned beyond recognition in the fire. Their bodies were taken to the Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH) morgue in Yaba," he said.
